Bryony graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a degree in 3 dimensional design, after living and working in Manchester for 10 years she moved to Herefordshire in 2004. Bryony slab builds her vases using sheets of clay cut to shape using paper templates. After being bisque fired the surface pattern is built up with layers of slips and glazes, the hand painting ensures each piece is individual. The patterned range is inspired by natural patterns along with 1950's textiles and wallpapers. Developing from research done into the markings on tropical fish, influences have also been taken from the way different cultures represent nature in pattern making.
