pierre williams

Pierre Williams was born in 1962. He studied ceramics as a mature student, at University of Wales in Cardiff (UWIC), graduating in 2001. He has exhibited at the Hereford Contemporary Craft Fair for the last three years, and won the New Exhibitors Award there in 2003. He is currently Tutor in Foundation Ceramics and Art and Design at the Royal National College for the Blind in Hereford.

'The first 20 years of my working life was spent in industry – 14 years as a toolmaker and the rest as a contract engineer. There was something missing from this period of my life, and that something was art, creativity. After completing a degree at Cardiff in 2001, my life is on a new path, but all the skills and disciplines I have learned will travel with me.'
