I am a 'decorative artist' working in jewellery, silversmithing and large scale architectural cast iron. I think of the decorative arts as an integral part of, and index to, a culture. I am interested in the transformation of ideas as they develop through different scales, materials and processes and as they are applied for different purposes. I work primarily to
commission, starting from drawings with which to develop and illustrate designs to clients. I was granted the
freedom of the worshipful company of goldsmiths in 1994.
